Bauhaus meets the mountains

Few resorts carry a design legacy as specific as Aspen Meadows — its grounds conceived by Herbert Bayer, one of the defining figures of the Bauhaus movement. When the resort’s all-day café needed an identity, that architectural and artistic legacy became the foundation.

Developed for Hooray Agency, the work draws directly from Bayer’s designs — translating the geometric boldness and typographic rigour of Bauhaus into a visual language warm enough for a neighbourhood café and confident enough for one of Aspen’s most iconic properties.

The result is a brand that feels equally at home with morning coffee and après-ski, open to hotel guests and the local community alike.

Built for every moment

The identity extends across every surface and experience — from print and collateral to digital design, packaging concepts for coffee and pastries, and a full wayfinding system that carries the Bauhaus geometry through the resort’s indoor and outdoor spaces.

A coffee cart concept was developed as an experiential centrepiece, designed to draw people in and create a moment of discovery within the resort grounds. Playful, precise, and deeply rooted in place — every touchpoint speaks the same considered visual language.

Ancient wisdom, modern healing

Shanti — Sanskrit for peace, balance, and stillness — resonated with the founder the moment she first encountered it. Discovered during a period of profound personal transformation, it became the name, the intention, and the promise of everything she set out to build.

Having spent over a decade deepening her practice across ancient yogic traditions, sound healing, breathwork, and holistic therapy, she came to us with a brief that demanded more than a visual identity — it required a brand that could carry genuine wisdom. The positioning was built around this tension: ancient and modern, timeless and deeply personal.

The geometry of calm

The identity is anchored by a monogram — two S forms for Shanti Studio — reworked through the prism of ancient symbols and sacred spirals, its shape echoing the symbol of eternity, an eight turned on its side.

A warm, earthy palette of muted stone, sage, and deep earth tones gives the brand its quiet authority, while the typography and spatial composition create a sense of stillness before a single word is read. Every element is designed to feel like it has always existed — unhurried, intentional, and deeply considered.

A sanctuary in every touchpoint

The photography art direction follows the same philosophy — the human form captured in harmony with nature, attention drawn to smaller details and quiet gestures that speak to presence and being in the moment. Finding stillness through movement, and connection through natural elements.

This sensibility carries through into the physical: gift certificates with custom envelopes, wax seals bearing the studio symbol, packaging printed on linen paper — each object crafted to feel like a ritual in itself. Every touchpoint, digital or physical, is designed to feel like an invitation to slow down.

Ula Nóva was born from a belief that the pleasure of collecting should be available to every woman. Each bag and each charm is an art object in its own right — its colours developed in collaboration with artists and painters, its forms sculptural, its details considered.

Made to treasure

The identity reflects the tactile, collectible nature of the brand at every level — rich colour, considered materiality, a visual language that feels curated rather than commercial.

The handmade charms — woven with natural stone beads, shaped into flowers — are modular by design, configurable into phone holders, key charms, or layered compositions, making each piece as functional as it is beautiful.

Notes from the studio

The art direction carries the same spirit — layered, handcrafted, almost intimate — as if offering a glimpse into the collection-making process itself, complete with the founder’s own notes and references.

Across brand identity, art direction, packaging, print collateral and website, the work gives coherent form to a brand that treats the act of getting dressed as something worth celebrating.

Grassie Granite has spent over twenty years as Myrtle Beach’s most trusted natural stone fabricator — precision craftsmanship, premium materials, and a reputation built one countertop at a time.

Under new ownership and ready for a new chapter, the brief was to honour that legacy while giving the brand the presence it had always deserved.

The strategy was built around a single conviction: that exceptional quality and genuine accessibility are not opposites. From there, we developed a brand identity that feels as considered and enduring as the stone itself — sophisticated and grounded, precise without being cold.

The identity carries the same quiet confidence across every surface it touches. The visual language draws directly from the material world: the texture of raw granite, the depth of natural stone, a palette rooted in earth and minerals.
